Does electricity flow through the sheet?

No. The cord connects only to the ground port — the round hole at the bottom of your outlet. This is the same grounding system that protects your home from lightning. No electrical current enters the sheet. A built-in 50k ohm safety resistor provides additional protection. It's the indoor equivalent of standing barefoot on grass.

Will I feel the silver fibers?

No. The sheet is 95% cotton and 5% silver fiber woven into the fabric. It feels like a normal premium cotton fitted sheet. You won't feel, see, or notice the silver fibers against your skin.

How do I know my outlet is grounded?

Use a socket tester — plug it in and if the green light comes on, your outlet is properly grounded. Takes 2 seconds. Most homes built after 1970 have grounded outlets. If yours isn't grounded, an electrician can update it or you can use our grounding rod as an alternative.

How soon will I feel a difference?

It varies. Some people notice deeper sleep the first night. Most feel a noticeable change within 1-2 weeks. The deeper effects on stiffness, pain, and energy build over 4-8 weeks of consistent nightly use. The benefits are cumulative — the more consistently you sleep on it, the better it works.

Does my skin need to touch the sheet?

Direct skin contact gives the strongest connection. A thin layer of clothing like a cotton t-shirt still allows electrons to pass through. Heavy fleece, thick pajamas, or synthetic fabrics will reduce the connection. The more skin contact, the better.

Can I wash it like a normal sheet?

Yes. Machine wash on cool or warm with mild detergent. No bleach — it damages the silver fibers. No fabric softener — it coats the fibers and reduces conductivity. Tumble dry on low or air dry. The silver fibers maintain conductivity through normal washing when these instructions are followed.

How long does the sheet last?

With proper care, the silver fibers maintain conductivity for 1-2 years of regular use and washing. You'll know it's time to replace when you stop noticing the benefits you've gotten used to.

I take blood thinners. Is this safe?

Grounding naturally supports healthy blood flow. If you take blood thinners like Coumadin or Warfarin, consult your doctor before use — your dosage may need adjustment as your blood circulation improves. This is actually a positive sign that grounding is working.

Is this safe during pregnancy?

Grounding is a natural process — the same as walking barefoot on grass. However, we always recommend consulting your doctor before introducing anything new during pregnancy.

What if my bed is far from the outlet?

The included grounding cord is 15.5 feet long — enough to reach most bedroom outlet configurations, even if the outlet is on the opposite wall. Route the cord neatly along the baseboard behind your bed frame.
